Singing Lessons
Hi
Many people come through my studio for different reasons. Parents who recognise a spark of either talent or passion for music in their child bring their children to me to enable them to explore it.
Some parents are simply aware that music lessons, like martial arts in a way, helps to mould minds towards better academic achievement and self confidence, even things like quality of speech and posture are significantly improved through music lessons.
Many adults that attend music lessons are either professionals extending their range or endurance with their voice, but I also get a lot of first time adult students who have always wanted to sing and have finally reached out to try it.
Good for you! You may also like to try WWW.sing as a compliment to your private tuition.
You may identify with some of the problems I hear about regularly:
* I get hoarse after singing a long time
* I get hoarse after singing loudly
* I want a better range
* I run out of breath when I‘m singing
* I frequently get sore throats or laryngitis
* My voice sounds too breathy
* I tense up when I sing
* I don’t know how to use a mic
* My vibrato doesn’t sound right
* I need better repertoire
* I get nervous when I sing in front of others
* I have trouble singing in tune
Good news! All of the above can be fixed with some help and some practice.
Lessons:Half an hour – I highly recommend half hour classes for my younger students as their attention span can sometimes be short.
Also, the untrained voice can be vulnerable to overuse.
Full hour – Recommended for adults and advanced students of any age
Group lessons – Only available for bands or performance groups seeking vocal coaching or group harmony advice.
